Our Last day at Organ Pipe

Our stay at Organ Pipe this time around is a little shorter than past years,as we will be leaving tomorrow morning. This place along with Gilbert Ray near Tucson, are 2 of the most beautiful desert campgrounds that I have visited and I keep coming back year after year, taking in the beauty of what is some of the best of the Sonoran desert landscape.
The large variety of plant and bird life is fantastic.I just never get tired of it.

This is a new bird species that we have discovered. We have named it "The HUMM-PECKER."
Note his tongue sticking out just like a hummer.Ron and Sue took this shot of what is really a "Gila Woodpecker" who made many visits to the feeder during our last stop at Why.
These guys are the noisiest critters in all of desert birddom .You always know when they are around.
